While on Campus

Students at the pool image

Many of the resources and support students have come to expect from UT are also available in the summer!

Tutoring and academic support are available during the summer, and some campus units offer special services to those who spend their summer with us.

For students who need somewhere to live while taking summer classes, summer housing is available in the residence halls.

With a UT meal plan, students don’t pay sales tax. Two meal plans are available Summer 2015: Dining Dollars in the amounts of $100 and $200 to be used at any Volunteer Dining location.  This year, for the first time, students will be able to use their UT VolCards at various locations on “The Strip,” thanks to an agreement with the following Cumberland Avenue Merchants:

  • McDonald’s
  • Goal Post Tavern
  • Copper Cellar
  • Firehouse
  • BurgerFi
  • Regions Bank
  • Graphic Creations
  • Rocky Top Books

The following UT Dining locations were open during the 2014 summer semester:

  • Arena Dining (McAlister’s Deli, Pizza Hut Express, Cafe at the Arena)
  • Hodges Library POD Market
  • Hodges Library Starbucks
  • Humanities POD Market
  • Mabel’s on the Ag campus
  • Presidential Court Building Cafe (students are served during camps & conferences)
  • Rocky Top Cafe – 1st floor University Center (Chick-fil-A, sbarro, Subway, AFC Sushi Express; not Petro’s)
  • Starbucks – 2nd floor University Center
  • Volunteer Hall POD Market
