Student Services

Most of the services you’ve come to expect from UT are available during the summer. Academic support, student services, and on-campus facilities will be here for you while you’re on campus.

Academic Support Unit

The Academic Support Unit within the Office of Multicultural Student Life is committed to providing quality tutoring for a variety of undergraduate courses. All students are encouraged to take advantage of this free resource during the summer.

Books, Gear, and Electronics

Your professors will assign textbooks for your classes, and you can purchase them at the VolShop. You’ll also find a wide variety of school supplies and UT gear. You may want to check out the educational discounts at the computer store while you’re at it.

Volunteer Dining offers a meal plan specifically for eating on campus during the summer. As part of the plan, you will receive Dining Dollars for one summer session. You can always add additional Dining Dollars if necessary. Dining Dollars may be used in any of our open cafeterias, on-campus restaurants (like Starbucks, and Einstein Bros. Bagels), and campus convenience stores. You or your parents can purchase Dining Dollars online. And you may also use your VolCard at select Cumberland Avenue Merchants.

Disability Services

Student Disability Services (SDS) staff works with faculty members to provide the most appropriate accommodations for students who are registered with the office. Appropriate accommodations will be determined through review of documentation submitted by the student. ODS serves students with various disabilities including, but not limited to, acquired/traumatic brain injuries, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorders, deaf or hard of hearing, learning disabilities, mobility/chronic health, psychological/ emotional health, and visual disabilities.
